Week of the Match

1. Match fixture confirmed on GAA website on Monday.

2. Post fixture on heja app and Clubzap. Reminder to be sent
to parent's whatsapp group.

3. If match is at home, contact St Brendan's juvenile secretary
Maoliosa Mc Hugh on 0851449832 to ensure pitch availability.

4. If match is at home, contact St Brendan's referee coordinator to request referees.

5. If match is away contact opposition to confirm pitch
location, number of teams and number of players. Opposition mentor contact
details will be found here.

7. Text parents to come down one hour before throw in or the
day before to set up pitches if at home. Coaches will be busy with the warm
up.

Day of the match

8. Bring jerseys.

9. Bring footballs/ hurls & helmets, cones and bibs. Only 2 balls per game
required for matches.

10. Ensure kids bring water.

11. Bring whistles for coaches.

12. If hosting, coaches and parents should be onsite one hour before the game to
set up.
13. Have a warm up and a drills prepared.
13. Children’s warm up should start 30 minutes before the game.
14. Have a team talk prepared. Organise teams into positions. Explain positions
and what each position should do defender, midfielders and forwards.

16. Bring cash for refs (club will reimburse) CCC1 U8-U11 €10 per team.

17. Half time team talk. Change all positions at half time.

18. Talk with players after game what went well and what can be improved.
