The St Brendan’s Football 1st XV, sponsored by Dynamic Safety Solutions, faced Skerries Harps in the opening round of the 2025 Go Ahead Adult Football League Division 5 in Grangegorman. 

We are still on the look out for a new manager, following Martin Ryan’s departure during the off season, so Cian Walsh, John Tuffy and Shane Feeney took over the reins today.

This writer wrote the above piece on Saturday Evening, on Sunday Morning, word reached Grangegorman that Skerries Harps have conceded the game, so St Brendan’s start the 2025 season with two points in the boot of John Tuffy’s Tesla. Not the circumstances that Walsh, Tuffy and Feeney were looking for, but still, two early season League points isn't to be sneezed it. 

St Brendan’s will have to wait now until March 2nd and a visit to Round Towers Clondalkin to finally test out the new rules and find out which player will score the clubs first 2 pointer.
