Starting on 06Jul2026 for two weeks, St Brendan’s GAA ran Summer Camps at the Longmeadoews grounds on the Chapelizod Road beside the Garda Boat Club. 

These ran from 09:30 until 13:30 each week day. There was a mix of Football, Hurling, Athletics, Rounders and much fun was had. Over the 2 weeks, approximately 100 different primary school age youngsters took part. St Brendan’s had a sunny summer camp jersey for the campers, to go with the sunny weather. Afterwards St Brendan’s circulated an anonymous survey. 

St Brendan’s GAA asked the following questions

(1)   Were you happy with the location, Drop off and pick up? 

The responses were 100% positive. A sample of the responses included 

“Yes very well organised “     

“Very happy. Safe and easy for the kids”     

“Yes. Very safe and well organised.”

(2)   Do you have any feedback on the camp Jersey? Have you any thoughts on the design, quality, sizing? 

The responses were 100% positive. A sample of the responses included 

“Kids love it”  

“Jersey was good. fit was good”        

“Lovely design and colour. Love it.”

(3)   Have you any thoughts on the coaches, coaching activities?  

The responses were 100% positive. A sample of the responses included 

“No my boys were delighted every day. Particularly mentioned that their coaches spoke as gaeilge which they loved.” 

“All were v kind to our 6 year old who was very nervous going but now wants to go back next year”                             

“Kids came home in great form but didn't talk much about individual activities”

(4)   Would you consider St Brendan's Camp in early july 2027? 

The responses were 100% positive. A sample of the responses included
