Over 24 weeks after losing in the Junior C Championship Quarter Finals, the St Brendan’s Hurlers, sponsored by Bodibro, commenced life in the seventh tier of Dublin Club Hurling, with an opening home fixture against Pobal Parnell, the club formally known as Parnells.
After enjoying their log loosneer in Cologne in Germany last Sunday, The Dark Force fell to defeat here on a final score of 3-22 to 3-11 in what was a very strong Pobal Parnell outfit.
Same new faces togged out for the St Brendan’s Hurlers today and here are a few names to look out for during 2026.
Tom Kiely, at corner forward, who scored 1-2 today, Aaron Gaul at Full Back, Michael Geraghty at Corner Back and Conor Walsh from Monaghan at wing back.
The other scorers were: Rob Hanrahan 0-1, Pa Carey 1-2, Eoin Fallon 0-2 and Liam Kennedy 0-1.
The previous evening, in Kavanagh’s of Stoneybatter, The St Brendan’s Ladies Football teams had their 2025 Awards night and here are the award winners:

The on field action for the St Brendan’s Ladies teams commence this Wednesday when the 1st XV travel to Garristown in the First Round of the Go Ahead Ladies Div4A Cup.
